Today, I would like to tell you about a parson who I respect.
Who the person is?
Almost of you know his famous movies. “Spirited Away”, in Japanese “Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi”. Also, you know “Howl’s Moving Castle”, in Japanese “Hauru no ugokushiro”.
Yes, the director’s name is Hayao Miyazaki!
He is popular and famous not only in Japan but also in Italy. Some motifs in Ghibli movies are from Italy.
For example, the movie “Castle in The Sky” comes from Civita Ancient Castle in Italy. And “Porco Rosso” comes from Milano Canal in Italy too. Also, his studio “Ghibli” is named after the Sirocco “blowing hot wind in Sahara Desert” in Italian.
So I think he is more popular in Italy than in Japan.
By the way, would you like to get one of the good news? Oh! I have great one.
Surprisingly, Ghibli Studio has open “Ghibli Park” in this Autumn!
In this park, you can enjoy the films of Ghibli movies. Also, you can get on Neko Bus.
Everyone can feel soft and fluffy as May and Satsuki sitting on true Neko Bus.
I have not been to this park yet, but I have visited Ghibli Museum once.
Ghibli Museum is located at Mitaka City in Tokyo.
At Saturn Theater in the museum, you can watch original movies which can be seen only there. But regrettably, we can see only one kind of the movies in that place.
The movies change once about a month. So, we must go to the theater many times to watch all of the movies.
Why do I love Ghibli so much?
It’s because when my first encounter to Ghibli is the day I was born.
At that day, my mother went to see “Spirited Away”, I was born in hospital. So, I think I have deep connections with Ghibli movie. Maybe I listened to the movie in my mother that time. I come to love “Spirited Away” in Ghibli movies.
There are no originals in “Spirited Away”, while some other movies have them. I love to read the originals.
For example, “Howl’s Moving Castle”, “The Secret World of Arrietty”, and “When Marnie Was There” have original novels.
They have different ending which is not like movies.
My most favorite original is “Nausicaa of the valley of the wind”. Its original is made by Hayao Miyazaki. It is long series comic and very interesting.
The Giant God fades out in this movie, but in the comic, he is alive and trips with Nausicaa! I do want you to read it!!
